“The question is not who influences you, but which people give you courage.”

Founded in 2022 by American photographer, writer & teacher Anastasia Pagonas, MEMORY CULT has been sold out since it’s inception. Our membership ranges from hobbyist to full-time professional made up of female photographers from 15+ countries around the world.
-
Our focus is personal and exploratory photography. Our visual scope is broad, covering the vernacular documentary picture on one end of the spectrum and the conceptual, post-documentary art image on the other. Using a workshop methodology (action > learning) and a strong commitment to the individual, offerings encourage creative autonomy through “scenius” and philosophy of art. View all features of our structure here.
-
Enrollment opens twice a year in December and June. Current Members are offered the opportunity to renew Active Membership or transition their Silent Seat or CLASS PASS to an Active Seat.
-
MEMORY CULT is small by diligent design. Incredible things happen when people in a creative community feel they must be there and are spiritually called to their work. It is also small to ensure detailed, devoted 1:1 mentoring not found anywhere else. 80+ enrollments of our 100 Seats are typically renewals.
The best chance to get into MEMORY CULT is to enroll as a Silent Seat and transition during Open Enrollment to Active. To those who feel the call — see you inside.
